Humble Pie

This week I learned a valuable lesson. My favorite NT book is the Book of James and in the first chapter he tells us to be slow to speak and quick to listen. This week I blew it over an ad I saw in the Northampton Community College Community Education catalog. I was upset about them offering a Spanish Speaking CPR class. I instantly went to my blog to voice my outrage; however, I never spoke to a representative of the school to find out the facts. I can't stand when others send me e-mails without checking out all the facts and I hold to the principles of James. Not this time, I let my emotions get the better of me and let my fingers do the walking. Well, I spoke to a wonderful lady from the college that works in the Healthcare Education Division and informed that they also offer free English CPR classes. This semester was the Spanish. Also, she told me they help church's out with CPR classes and first aid. She is working with me to set up a class for our church. So if I would of listened I wouldn't have become angry, which is the 3rd part of that scripture and then I wouldn't be here eating humble pie. So I just wanted to set the record straight that there was no left wing conspiracy against us English speaking people. Just a person who didn't listen first.

I am really confused please help!

I just sat down to look at the Northampton Community College community Education catalog for 2008. I was looking for how much it might cost for CPR training for our ushers and nursery workers. What I found has made me very angry. They offer a Free Spanish CPR for family and friends and right below that course for our English speaking citizens the same class except it cost us $60. So me being the person that I am called the school and asked if I could register for the Spanish speaking FREE class and asked if they would give me an interpreter. The lady on the other end said, "I think not". I responded with why am I being descriminated against because I know how to speak english. She said I would then have to speak to the director. Which I am currently waiting on a phone call from. I don't know about you, but this really bothers me. Doesn't my family and friends need life saving help too!
